The Story
Luis Ortíz inherited his father's 3-hectare farm at the age of 19 after a landslide took everything they had. Through a decade of stubborn work, he rebuilt the farm and started experimenting with fermentation and processing techniques he learned from YouTube videos and a scrappy network of neighboring farmers. In 2022, his lot placed third at the Colombia Cup of Excellence.
